Overall it was a fantastic experience! The hostel is well-maintained, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The bathroom was impressively clean, which is always a big plus for me. The hostel provides essential amenities like shampoo, body wash, and even towels, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Another great feature is the simple breakfast provided by the hostel, along with unlimited water and coffee, such a nice touch for the guests. It’s clear that the staff has thought of almost everything to make guests feel at home. One of the best things about The Common Hostel is its location. It’s situated right in the heart of Chiang Mai’s Old Town, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city.

I've stayed at this hostel multiple times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. What really sets this place apart for me are the cleanliness and the incredibly friendly staff. They always make me feel welcome, and it's clear that they take pride in maintaining a high standard. The dorm beds are very comfortable, and I really appreciate the privacy features they offer—it's not something you always get in a shared space, but it's done really well here. Whether it's the cleanliness or the friendly atmosphere, I always know I can expect great service at this hostel, which is why I keep coming back. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay!

One of the best hostels! We had a private room with a private bathroom, so I cannot judge the shared space. Clean, big enough for 2 people. Very helpful staff. There is a washing machine in the hostel, so you can do your laundry there if you like. Plenty of space to sit, relax and work if you need to. Motorcycle parking and ATM in front of the hotel. Close to the main markets (the farthest you have to go is 15 minutes) but my favourite one is just 5 minutes from this hostel.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The rooms are spacious, cupboard to keep stuff is decent (get your own lock), common area is fabulous and overall the place is clean. The bonus is the complimentary breakfast and unlimited access to water and coffee. The staff was very helpful, they booked the day trips for me from Chiang Mai. The breakfast is basic but good. Location is also great, most places are walkable from the hostel. There is an atm too right outside the hostel.

Beds were very comfy, AC reliable (sometimes very cold), they spread out smoky repellants for Mosquitos, makes it comfortable to sit in the outside area. Large bathrooms and cleaned daily. They offered weekly free morning Yoga, which was super nice. Cold water, hot coffee and tea always available. Rooms were also quite large, so it comfortably fits all the people staying in it.
